For our three-year wedding anniversary, my husband took us to Fort Worth and Grapevine Texas. My husband knows how much I enjoy going to zoos, gardens, and aquariums so he took us to the Fort Worth Zoo. We had a ton of fun especially in the parakeet area. I will say if you go to this zoo be prepared to wear comfortable shoes. My feet were killing me by the time we were done. It is also easy to miss something as the paths go in random directions. Breastfeeding at the airport is just something a lot of people don’t think about. There is a lot of other things we are already having to think about. When I first flew with my son I pumped a bottle to take with me. I figure that would be the easiest way to handle it. I was comfortable breastfeeding in public and didn’t want to go to the bathrooms. I wasn’t near any of the breastfeeding locations. Continue Reading →
Flying with a toddler is different then flying with an infant. Baby A took his first flight at 4 months old. It was a stressful experience as I was alone and had so much stuff with only two hands. I had to juggle a diaper bag, duffel bag, Baby A, stroller he refused to sit in, and my backpack. That was some seriously juggling and I was blessed to have some strangers help me with everything. That I will be forever grateful for. Baby A is now 17 months old and my husband is flying with us. This time it seems to be going a lot smoother except now I have a toddler to entertain. Taking a trip with a baby to Las Vegas, Nevada may seem like a crazy idea. At least that is what I was told when I took Baby A to Las Vegas in July. Last year my husband surprised me with a trip to Las Vegas for our wedding anniversary. I had such a fun time once we got to Las Vegas. There is just so much stuff to do and we had so little time to do it all with having been put on standby at the airport. When we arrived in Las Vegas it was night time but even before we left the airport there were casinos and slot machines right in the middle of the walkway. The lights at night just remind me of a huge Christmas tree all lit up and twinkling. It truly is an amazing experience to witness.
Finding kid friendly things to do while traveling to another city can seem like a daunting task. Especially if you have never been to that city and don’t know anyone there that could recommend a place to visit. My husband and I recently took a trip to Houston, Texas to the Downtown Aquarium. It was a fun little trip to take and very kid friendly. My main goal when going somewhere is will Baby A have a good time and are there things that he can do being only a year old.
