This past week my husband and I celebrated our three-year wedding anniversary. I know it doesn’t seem like a long time to some but for us we cherish every year we have together. My husband and I are middle school sweethearts. We started dating in the 8th grade and have been together ever since. It wasn’t one of those break up make up kind of dating histories either. For our three-year wedding anniversary, my husband took us to Fort Worth and Grapevine Texas. My husband knows how much I enjoy going to zoos, gardens, and aquariums so he took us to the Fort Worth Zoo. We had a ton of fun especially in the parakeet area. I will say if you go to this zoo be prepared to wear comfortable shoes. My feet were killing me by the time we were done. Breastfeeding at the airport is just something a lot of people don’t think about. There is a lot of other things we are already having to think about. When I first flew with my son I pumped a bottle to take with me. I figure that would be the easiest way to handle it. I was comfortable breastfeeding in public and didn’t want to go to the bathrooms. Flying with a toddler is different then flying with an infant. Baby A took his first flight at 4 months old. It was a stressful experience as I was alone and had so much stuff with only two hands. I had to juggle a diaper bag, duffel bag, Baby A, stroller he refused to sit in, and my backpack. That was some seriously juggling and I was blessed to have some strangers help me with everything. That I will be forever grateful for. Baby A is now 17 months old and my husband is flying with us. This time it seems to be going a lot smoother except now I have a toddler to entertain.  Continue Reading →
